Syllabus for General Hindi and Essay writing for UPPSC
The candidates that appear for the Mains Examination for UPPCS have to appear for a General Hindi paper. The level of the paper is moderate and students who had Hindi as a subject up-to class 10th will be able to perform well in this paper. But however, the students are strictly advised to follow the UPPCS syllabus laid down by the commission, or else it could lead to a lot of time wastage and deviation from the syllabus. Attempting of previous years’ papers and mock tests could be of great help to the students.It is a moderate exam but do not take it lightly.
For the benefit of the students the syllabus of Hindi is given below.
सामान्य हिंदी एवं निबंध
प्रथम खण्ड – निर्धारित अंक 100
1 अपठित गद्यांश का संक्षेपन , उससे संबंधित प्रश्न, रेखांकित अंशो की व्याख्या एवं उसका उपयुक्त शीर्षक ।
2 शासकीय ,अर्द्धशासकीय, वैयक्तिक तथा व्यवसायिक समस्याओं के निराकरण हेतु सम्बंधित को सम्बोधित पत्र, कार्यालय आदेश, अधिसूचना और परिपत्र सम्बंधित पत्रलेखन /आलेखन ।
3 अनेकार्थी शब्द, विलोम शब्द, पर्यायवाची शब्द, तत्सम एवं तद्भव ,क्षेत्रीय, विदेशी (शब्द भण्डार) वर्तनी,अर्थबोध, शब्द-रूप, संधि ,समास, क्रियाएं, हिंदी वर्णमाला, विराम चिन्ह, शब्द रचना, वाक्य रचना अर्थ ,मुहावरें एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, उत्तर प्रदेश की मुख्य बोलियां तथा हिंदी भाषा के प्रयोग में आने वाली अशुद्धियाँ ।
द्वितीय खण्ड – निर्धारित अंक 100
इसके अंतर्गत दो उपखण्ड होंगे।प्रत्येक उपखण्ड से एक एक निबंध (कुल मिलाकर दो निबंध) लिखने होंगे। प्रत्येक निबंध की विस्तार सीमा 700 शब्द होगी ।
निबन्ध हेतू निम्नवत क्षेत्र होंगे
(अ)(1) साहित्य ,संस्कृति (2) राष्ट्रीय विकास योजनाये / क्रियान्वयन (3) कृषि उद्योग एवं व्यापारI
(ब) (1) विज्ञान पर्यावरण (2) प्राकृतिक आपदाएं एवं उनके निवारण
In the second section the students have to write two essays of 700 words each. It is advisable for the students to practice writing essays and get them evaluated. This is a very important section and is to be attempted with the utmost care. Writing plus evaluation followed by feedback will play a crucial role to help a student score high marks in this section. Those students who will genuinely write essays and follow the feedback and rectify their mistakes will be the ones who will take a lead over the rest of the students. The topics for the essay will be related to literature, culture, national development schemes and implementation, Agriculture industry, and trade, Science and environment, natural disasters and solutions, etc. A student who is in touch with the current affairs and events of national and international importance will probably have a good knowledge of the essay topics and he should be able to translate his knowledge into good writing.
